
Android might not be an official mobile branch to any desktop operating system — not yet, at least — but the past decade or so has seen plenty of first and third-party integrations with Windows. WhatsApp users might be next in line for a big desktop upgrade, as it could be the next service to see native support for Microsoft’s “Cross-Device Resume” feature.
Cross-Device Resume began building out support last year for Microsoft’s own OneDrive, before adding Office, Edge, and Spotify into the mix in the Release Preview Channel last month. If you took Spotify’s addition as a hint towards future third-party integrations to come, you’d be right, as Windows Latest is reporting WhatsApp could be next on the list. After initial hints in January, it seems like support for WhatsApp is rolling out to more devices under Windows 11’s “Resume” menu in settings, though unfortunately, enabling the feature doesn’t actually do anything
